Where it is measured
ChatGPTChatGPT SEOYou can rank first on Google and not exist in ChatGPT.
AI cannot read you
A restrictive robots.txt, a block at the CDN or content that only appears with JavaScript keeps AI crawlers out.
It does not answer the question
Your pages talk about you, but they do not answer buyer questions with clarity, data and structure.
There is no evidence to cite
Without dated facts, authorship, structured data or third-party mentions, the model prefers other sources.
What I work on
Three layers. One strategy.

Making it easy for search engines and AI crawlers to find, read and index the right pages.

Frequently asked questions about AI SEO and AI search visibility
What is AI search visibility?
AI search visibility is how often your company appears, gets recommended and is cited as a source in the answers of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude when someone asks about what you sell.
It is measured against a reproducible baseline: the same buying questions, on the same engines, repeated several times, with date, language and session documented. Improving it is the goal of AI SEO.
What is AI SEO?
It is the work of getting your company found, mentioned and cited both on Google and in answer engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. It combines SEO, AEO and GEO.
Unlike classic SEO, SEO for AI is binary: either you appear in the answer or, for that customer, you do not exist. That is why I talk about AI visibility rather than rankings.
How do SEO, AEO and GEO differ?
SEO works to get search engines to find and index your pages. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) structures content so an engine picks it as the direct answer. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) improves the information and evidence so that AI cites you as a source.
All three are measured against the same baseline: questions × engines × runs.
More detail in the guide what is GEO and how it differs from SEO and AEO.
Why does my website appear on Google but not in ChatGPT?
Because AI knows your website in two ways: through the model's memory, trained months earlier, and through live retrieval, when the assistant reads your page as it answers. A restrictive robots.txt, a block at the CDN, content that only appears with JavaScript or missing structured data can leave you out, even if Google indexes you perfectly well. That is why every SEO for ChatGPT project starts by checking access.
How does SEO for ChatGPT differ from AI Overviews SEO?
The difference is where the information comes from. Google AI Overviews relies on the Google index: if Googlebot cannot crawl your page, or Google cannot index it and show it with a snippet, it will not cite you. ChatGPT searches with its own crawler, OAI-SearchBot, and with third-party search providers, so SEO for ChatGPT also requires that crawler to have access.
Content that answers the buyer's questions well, on the other hand, works just as well for AI Overviews SEO.
How is AI search optimisation measured?
With a reproducible baseline: a set of buyer questions agreed with you, run several times in each engine under documented conditions (date, language, country, session). I record whether you are mentioned, whether your website is cited, which sources are used and which competitors appear.
A single run is a snapshot, not a trend.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT or Google will cite me?
No, and be wary of anyone who does: no AI SEO consultant controls a model's answers. What I do is work on the access, content and evidence that get you chosen, and measure it honestly and repeatably.
How long before I see results?
Technical access fixes can show up in live retrieval within a few weeks: it is the quickest part of ChatGPT SEO, and of showing up in Perplexity. Anything that depends on model memory or third-party mentions takes longer. That is why I compare repeated measurements on fixed dates before calling anything a trend.
What does the initial review include?
Before our first meeting I review, using public evidence, your website and profiles, basic access for AI crawlers, your brand searches, a sample of your AI visibility on buyer questions and the sources the engines cite instead of you.
Nothing on your website changes: it is a starting point for deciding where SEO for AI can make a difference.
What happens next, if we go ahead?
Three phases: a reliable picture (baseline, Search Console, analytics, technical crawl and access audit), strategy (fact and entity layer, citable case studies, content that answers the buyer, structured data) and supervision (instructions for your team, QA and fresh measurements).
Everything stays visible in your private control centre.
Can you work with my team or agency?
Yes. As an AI SEO consultant I do not replace your team: I turn the diagnosis into prioritised actions, each with an owner and a verification criterion. Your team carries them out, while I oversee technical and editorial quality and repeat the measurements.
How do we get started?
Send me your website and the three questions you would like AI to answer by naming you: they will be the basis for measuring your ChatGPT SEO and your presence in the other engines. I prepare the initial review, and in a 30–40 minute meeting we agree on the next step.
